My Mother's Day Gift To Myself & You

As most mothers do- when my two kids asked, I said "All I want as a gift is for you two to not fight or whine and be good listeners" .... I don't think that is too much to ask do you? (If you Don't have kids- you don't know if it is or not, if you Do have kids, you know I am asking the impossible!)

In honor of mother's day, I posted this video of me asking my two kids, Jaycob, age 4 and Grace age 7 what "Massage" is. It is the first in a series called "Wellness Words of Wisdom by Jaycob & Grace".

I think it is pretty funny, but I'm a little biased. I would love to hear if this made you laugh too.

Happy Mom's Day to all you moms out there!

This planet would certainly be much more of a mess without your love and care! Go out and have as much fun with your kids as you can no matter if they're young children or adults!

Birthday Wishes & F*r*e*e Special Report: Easy Neck Pain Solution

Thanks for all your birthday wishes. I never do this, except on the anniversary of my birth (April 30th) but it was great!

I'll share with you quickly how it went. I had a lunch with a girlfriend at Scomas in Sausalito, then we did some Research and Development" by trying out 'the competition' for a massage and facial to see how other places compare. (Not as good as our massages of course!)

My husband Joey had a surprise planned for me at dinner. Here I was thinking just he and I were going to have a nice romantic dinner and my sister-in law was going to babysit. Turns out she "was stuck at work" so couldn't watch the kids. Joey said we would all four go and I was fine with that (even though our 4 and 7 year olds are not so well-behaved in restaurants!) But, little did I know he had arranged with the rest of our family who live here to be there too. And my father who lives in Honolulu was coincidentally flying in to SF on his way to the East Coast, so everyone was there at the restaurant and my dad brought a beautiful tuberose lei which smelled up the entire dinning room and exotic flowers which you can see at our reception area at the Wellness Center! So... yes, it was a great birthday.

But, enough about me... onto your neck pain. Many of you requested this information I wrote on how to know WHY you have neck pain and HOW to get rid of it.

Here it is for your free download:

Reach Your Wellness Goals with this One Secret!

Right around the end of February, EVERY year, those of you who made the New Year's Resolution to "Get In Shape" are starting to 'fall off the wagon'.

As you probably know, part of what I do is coach people who want/need help getting more exercise (movement) into their lives, eating better (not counting calories ~ just making better food choices) and improving their health and wellness.

... of course New Year's resolutions and goal setting is something a lot of us do and the number 1 resolution is... you guessed it~ To lose weight and get in shape!

It really is about behavior modification because most people already know WHAT to do... but to figure out how to apply it in your daily life is key.

Once you know your 'triggers' which cause you to go astray ~it is just a matter of making a commitment to make the right choices (even if/ when you don't want to.)

Here now is what you have been searching for, the ONE secret to finally being successful and reaching your goals!

What I'm about to tell you is very simple, but very profound... if you adhere to it.

When I first started in business over 20 years ago, I read a statement I liked and believe to be true. Commit this statement to memory and think about it when you don't feel like doing what-ever it is you need to do.

"Successful people do it even when they don't want to." I suggest you re-phrase it to make it more personalized, such as "I will do what I need to do, even if I don't feel like it, because I am successful at (fill in your goal)" ie: making the right food choice, exercising 4 times each week, etc.

Because Successful people have made a commitment to reach their goal, what-ever it may be, they do what it takes by following thru with it even if it is hard, or not popular, or doesn't taste as good, or isn't as much fun.

We all make these choices many times every day. It is simply a matter of making the right choice!

Whether I'm tempted by a carton of cookie-dough ice cream or catch a glimps of a good TV show as my kids are watching and I have work to do, I remind myself of my goals. When presented with choices this thought has helped me get where i am today. Of course I don't do the right thing 100% of the time, but if I do it MOST of the time, I am still ahead of the game.

All of my 'success-story' clients have adopted this thinking and it is the ONLY thing that has made a difference for them. They have tried  ALL the diets, exercise programs, pills and potions, but once they see their goal clearly, each time they have a choice they know to make the right choice to get closer to their goal.

Stay Away From The Dip!... Watch out for Superbowl Sunday

Will you be at a Superbowl party?

Watch out... stay away from the dip!

It's not that any of the Super Bowl foods are so terrible in and of themselves, but because the Super Bowl has turned into a huge excuse to go crazy, people tend to eat and drink non-stop for hours.

If you get so involved in the fun and excitement of the game, you most-probably will eat without even being aware of how much you are consuming. And if you get depressed because your team is not winning, watch out. It is this mindless eating that is the most harmful.

Chicken wings? Pizza? Guacamole? Chips and dips? Cheese?
And don't forget the beer!

One out of seven Americans orders take-out or restaurant delivery food on Super Bowl Sunday, according to the National Restaurant Association estimates. At least 58 percent order pizza, 50 percent scarf chicken wings and 20 percent go for for a sub or sandwich. Another one in 20 Americans watches the game at restaurants or bars.

I heard a quote: "If January is the time when dedicated weight-watchers resolve to drop all their holiday pounds, then Super Sunday is the day many decide to blow it out."

DON'T DO IT!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't have fun. I'm not even saying don't eat chicken wings and drink a bear or two... after all, what is life all about, if not for having fun?

All I suggest is you give it a little thought before you get to the party and anticipate what's to come. Don't throw out all your knowledge of the right food and drink choices just because its a party. Plan to fill up on some sparkling soda in between the alcohol and, call me crazy... but maybe even take a bite of one of those green things in the bowl near the chips and munch on it. (It's called broccoli)... who knows you might even like the taste!

Have fun and I hope your team wins!... (Now... Who's playing again? Who knows... I'll be doing something else... oh yes, I'll be running the Wellness Center's from desk!)

Our New Blog! 20th century ...here we come!

Yes, I know, the rest of the world has been blogging for a while, but, what can I say, we epitomize "low-tech". (after all we work with our hands and only use a computer for the business-side of things)

We actually even set up a Diamond Wellness Center blog over a year ago, but never got it off the ground ... but now is the time.

When I am running the front desk or answering the phones, I get a chance to see you in person and talk with you individually, but that doesn't happen very often. So, through this blog, I am looking forward to having more intimate contact with all of you!

This will give you and us a chance to talk about different issues, I can spout off about various topics of interest, concern, and thoughts.

We welcome your feed back and comments.
